Bisimulation and public announcements in logics of evidence-based knowledge

چکیده
This paper introduces a notion of bisimulation for Artemov’s logics of evidence-based knowledge. Bisimulation allows us to study the effect of dynamic epistemic operations on language expressivity. It is shown that public announcements, a basic dynamic epistemic operation, add expressivity to the language of evidenced-based knowledge. It is also shown that public announcements are definable in the language of evidence-based knowledge augmented with an evidence admissibility relation.

Public announcement logic with distributed knowledge: expressivity, completeness and complexity
While dynamic epistemic logics with common knowledge have been extensively studied, dynamic epistemic logics with distributed knowledge have so far received far less attention. In this paper we study extensions of public announcement logic (PAL) with distributed knowledge, in particular their expressivity, axiomatisations and complexity. PAL extended only with distributed knowledge is not more ...
متن کاملTR-2007025: Public Communication in Justification Logic
Justification Logic is the study of a family of logics used to reason about justified true belief. Dynamic Epistemic Logic is the study of a family of logics obtained by adding various kinds of communication to the language of multi-modal logic, yielding languages for reasoning about communication and true belief. This paper is a first-step in merging these two areas, in that it brings the most...

متن کاملBisimulation Quantified Logics: Undecidability
In this paper we introduce a general semantic interpretation for propositional quantification in all multi-modal logics based on bisimulations (bisimulation quantification). Bisimulation quantification has previously been considered in the context of isolated modal logics, such as PDL (D’Agostino and Hollenberg, 2000), intuitionistic logic (Pitts, 1992) and logics of knowledge (French 2003). We...
متن کاملWhat will they say? - Public Announcement Games
Dynamic epistemic logics describe the epistemic consequences of actions. Public announcement logic, in particular, describe the consequences of public announcements. As such, these logics are descriptive – they describe what agents can do. In this paper we discuss what rational agents will or should do. We consider situations where each agent has a goal, a typically epistemic formula he or she ...
